August Favourites.

Monday 31 August 2015
August has come and gone in a blink of an eye! I feel like I'm getting old because time just flies by these days but here are the things I've been using a lot of this august.

My first Vlog.

Saturday 29 August 2015
I've been meaning to start a YouTube channel for absolutely ages, so I just went for it  and made my first Vlog. Please bear with me whilst I get to grips with the balance of talking to the camera and whatnot (and learning to like my own face/voice) but I hope you enjoy.

Be kind! :)

My current LUSH face routine.

Thursday 27 August 2015
I have never really understood LUSH, most of all because I'm really not a bath person and the shop always smells so overpowering, but after my recent visit I finally kinda get it.

I headed in the other day to have a nosey at the cleansers because I've been on the look out for a new one for ages and ended up buying a whole face routine set due to the lovely shop assistant who helped me out.

I picked up a cleanser, a toner and a moisturiser.

John Lewis: Home ware Haul.

Tuesday 25 August 2015
I went into John Lewis recently to have a look around the home ware section, I went in to have a little look at the Orla Kiely range and ended up buying 3 things.

I'm really sorry for those that don't really like home ware products, but I have just bought my first home and I'm buying things to make it feel like home, room by room, so these will probably go on for months and years?! to come.

So lets delve into the 3 things I bought for my dresser.

Cruelty Free: Zoeva Brand First Impressions

Saturday 22 August 2015
In the past few weeks I've become more aware of cruelty free brands or make-up lines for multiple reasons but I'm now making a more conscious effort to buy from brands that do not test on animals.

When doing some very initial research I came across the brand Zoeva, I was aware of them before because of the make-up brushes they are well known for but had no idea they did make-up and at such an affordable price!

I opted for a lip crayon because I just can't resist lip products at the minute.. and then a blusher, as I have hardly any blushers and thought why not!

LUSH Popcorn Lip Scrub review.

Wednesday 19 August 2015
Recently my lips have been really dry which is frustrating as I've been uping my lip product game recently and so many people have recommended this LUSH lip scrub, so I took the plunge last week.

It took me a little while to decide between the Popcorn flavour and Bubblegum but a nice lady in store told me that the Popcorn flavour had sea salt for extra scrubbing.

The scrub itself is granulated (that's the sugar) and you rub it into your lips with your finger, wipe / eat when you are finished scrubbing and then apply your lip balm or lipstick after.

This really is amazing stuff and scrubs off all the dry skin from my lips. Although I picked the Popcorn flavour I'm not really a fan of the smell, I think I'd prefer the Bubblegum but I can't complain really for such a cheap price. I've used this everyday for almost a week now and the pot still looks like it's brand new, so I really think this is going to last forever.

If anyone has any other LUSH recommendations, please let me know!

My new handbag.

Sunday 16 August 2015
I was having a look around a site called SheInside recently as I'd seen it mentioned around, and I came across this bucket style bag. I was actually planning on doing a 'what's in my bag' post with an amazing bag I got from Primark about 3 years ago, but around 2 days after that thought it fell apart in about 3 different ways, so I was gutted and in need of another bag.

My MAC lipstick collection + Swatches.

Wednesday 12 August 2015
As I'm getting into my lipsticks, I thought I'd show you my very limited collection so I can see how my taste and my likes grow and change in the future!

So this is my little MAC lipstick collection for you, I hope you enjoy!

July Favourites

Sunday 9 August 2015
July has been a hectic month of packing, moving and fixing but amongst all the chaos I still found a few things that I enjoyed.

Review: Nip + Fab Glycolic Cleanser

Wednesday 5 August 2015
I have just about used up all my First Aid Beauty exfoliating pads (see the review here) which also contain Glycolic acid but I've found they are a little harsh on my skin, I guess thats the exfoliating part that irritates my skin slightly.

So I was looking for something similar that wasn't so harsh and I came across this in Boots. I'm always on the lookout for cleansers to try out and this one caught my eye. I was slightly put off by the foamy description as it's something I'm not used to as a balmy cleanser user but I thought I'd give it a go!

Revlon ColorBurst Matte Balm Review.

Monday 3 August 2015
I recently bought a bright pink lipstick from Topshop (have a look here) but it was very matte and because I've been struggling with really dry lips recently, I haven't been reaching for it, sad face. So when I had a little nosey around Boots the other day I came across the ColorBurst range and was immediately drawn to a very similar pink colour.
