Whenever we think of LUSH we probably think about the beautiful and wonderful smelling bath bombs, however I've fallen in love with so many other areas of the lush product range and my newest obsession is the shower gels.
This obsession started last year when I was given the Lord Of Misrule shower gel from the Halloween range as a gift from my friend who worked in the Oxford Street branch. I fell in the love with the sweet but peppery scent and haven't looked back since! One of the first things I splashed out on after the wedding was a selection of shower gels that I'd been eyeing up for what seems like forever and I've very predictable fallen in love with pretty much all of them.
My current favourite has to be Rose Jam, I'm genuinely really gutted I haven't discovered this earlier because it just smells incredible. I love Turkish delight and this smells sweet, vanilla and rosy but not in a sickly way like you might think. I need to stock up on this one as I think it's only available around Christmas time and I'll be heartbroken if I can't have this one throughout the year!
Another Christmas product I've fallen in love with this year is the Bubbly shower gel, which is new this year. It smells like oranges and grapefruit and really reminds me of Bucks Fizz the drink. Nick has been using this also and really enjoys the citrus scent. I think I might pick another small bottle of this up before Christmas is over, just in case!
One of the ones I really wanted to try was the infamous Snow Fairy, since learning more about Lush this seems to be a firm favourite and I've never really tried it properly. The colour is super bright pink and has little specks of iridescent glitter in it, which I have to be honest isn't my cup of tea, but I wanted to give this a go regardless. It's a very sweet scent, it's the same raspberry/strawberry Ribena smell that you get from The Comforter, I can imagine kids loving this though, so might be a nice gift for any lush obsessed kiddies out there!
The next one I picked up was Beautiful, I hadn't heard much about this product at all before ordering it, but the appeal of a more fruity scent after all the sweeter ones was what attracted me to this product. It smells of apricots and peaches, its nothing mind blowing but just a general really nice scent. The only thing I didn't realize was that it's got gold glimmer stuff in it, which I'm not a fan of, but I like the scent enough for this to be fine.
Then last up is It's Raining Men, I had Honey I washed the kids soap last year and loved the scent so had to give the shower gel a try too! This is probably the most subtle smell out of the lot but the honey and the flowery smells work so well together and it's so moisturizing. I really will be purchasing this one again in the future, I've got a heck of a lot of bottles to work through first!
Despite having so many bottles to work through, there are still more I want to try! I think the small bottles are really good value for money at £4.95 each, they all lather really well, so if you don't go a little gel crazy you can make these last for quite awhile. They also make great little stocking filler gifts if you are thinking of picking some up and seem more cost effective than buying a bath bomb that is a similar price for one use. I know I'd be very happy to get these little bottles from Santa!

I love LUSH shower gels! Currently using an old bottle of Snow Fairy. I'd really like to try some of the newer releases but unfortunately I don't have a store nearby.
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness!!! Snow Fairy and bubbly are amazing! Already gone through a 250ml bottle of snow fairy so had to go and buy a 100ml to last me until Christmas. I have basically begged my boyfriend to buy me their 1kg bottle they have brought out. Bubbly is completely different in terms of scent though but I cant get enough of it.
ReplyDeleteGreat post! Following on bloglovin x

The Lush shower gels were the first things I tried from Lush as, at the time, I hated baths (total bath convert now though, thanks to Lush! Haha) I love Snow Fairy - I love the glitter, and the smell. And I really liked Beautiful, which came as part of a gift set I received last Christmas. x www.aimeeraindropwrites.co.uk x

I love the formula of the Lush shower gels, I feel like a lot goes a long way which is a great realisation after panicking that the little bottles will be gone in 3 showers!
ReplyDeleteMy absolute favourite ever Lush shower gel is definitely Plum Rain. I think it's an Oxford St exclusive still but if you can get it it's so lovely! It works really well to add some bubbles to a bath with the Blackberry bath bomb :)
