A couple of weeks ago I was very kindly invited to the LUSH store on Fargate in Sheffield city centre to learn more about LUSH products, have a chance for a one on one chat about hair and skin with the staff and finally make some of the products ourselves, which is very very exciting!
On arrival we were given a little brief of all the staff and their areas of speciality, bath bombs, hair, skin and gifts. I headed straight to the face mask section, here a small group of us put together the Catastrophe Cosmetic face mask by adding each of the ingredients, including fresh blueberries! After a lot of mixing later the face mask was coming together nicely and it was great to see something put together in front of you!
After making the face mask I hung around to talk one on one about my skin, I mostly use skin care from LUSH anyway, so it was nice to just talk through some other products and try them out.
I then headed over to the bath bomb area where I was super excited to find out we were making our own butter bears. I have never actually used a LUSH bath bomb but I had purchased this for my fiancés mum last year and loved the smell, so I was excited about making this one and using it for my first bath bomb, pretty awesome right?
Next to this station was the most beautiful creation of bath loveliness I've ever seen, I really have no idea what was in this as I wasn't there for the original demonstrations but how can you not love this? It's absolutely stunning.
I then headed over to the 'gift' expert to see what they had on offer, I was looking for something for my dear friend Rosie for Christmas, who quite appropriately loves the rose scent, so I mentioned this to the sales lady and she bought out a box called 'Rosie' which was filled with 4 items that smelt of rose, it was almost like it was made for her. I couldn't resist and bought this lovely little box with the cutest paper wrap I've possibly ever seen (I'm a sucker for floral) where I was presented with a 'raffle box'. I delved in and grabbed the first thing I felt and it was the 'Santa Fun'. I was really happy with this, it was something I've never used before and it was Christmas themed, I was one happy lady.
After talking more to the lovely manager and organiser of this event, Becki, who handed me some mulled wine and a macaroon kindly provided by Joni, flavoured to match the products of course (clever!) I had another look around and admired all of the products. Who would have thought that until a few months ago I was very much a LUSH virgin but now I use products from here everyday?
I just really am on board with the whole natural ingredients thing and not testing on animals is something I really believe in, so LUSH is an ideal place for me to shop.
When the event was winding down, we were all saying our cheery goodbyes to all the lovely staff and we were surprised with the biggest goodie bag I have ever seen! I was so excited and so grateful for all the lovely things we'd had the pleasure of receiving, so I was excited to get home and have a look, although, the bag was so heavy that the rain literally made my bag dissolve on the bus and had a very embarrassing moment scrabbling around trying to scoop them all back up, but that is another story!
I'll include some images below of all the goodies, expect some reviews to come soon of these as I get around to trying them all. I have already tried the butter bear in a bath over Christmas and it was lovely, smells of vanilla (my fav!) and was really moisturising on the skin.
I really couldn't recommend LUSH enough, the staff are always super friendly and they have so many products you are bound to love something amongst it all! Don't let the overwhelming smell of the shop put you off like it did me at first, you'll realise how much you love them in time!
I'll be sure to post some reviews and talk more in detail about some of the products at a future point, so stick around and look out for those.
Love, as always,
*All items mentioned from the event were kindly gifted to me, all reviews and opinions are my own

This has been a very long blog posts but it was such a great little event with so much going on, it's hard not to ramble on about it. I really am extremely grateful to have been invited along to this, making my own face mask and bath bomb was so much fun and so personal and don't even get me started on the haul of stuff we were so kindly given, it was amazing.
